Job Searching SUCKS!

So I've been busy lately searching for a job here in the great state of Texas and have come to the conclusion that this searching idea sucks!  I've been on a countless number of interviews and have submitted my resume to numerous companies and every response I get is "we have decided to go with a candidate who's qualifications are a better fit for us.  Thank you for applying".  WHAT THE BEGEEEZZZZOUS.  What qualifications do you need to work as a receptionist???  I have done all the task that are described in the job descriptions for 5+ years, yet I'm still not qualified.  It has to be that I don't have my bachelors finished.  But really how is a degree, a simple piece of paper stating that you have satisfactorily completed the courses under which major you have declared??  Experience in the real world holds nothing to that piece of paper.  That shitty piece of paper means the world to companies but does not say this person has the skills and the ability to perform the functions of a job.  This person that has that piece of paper most likely doesn't even know how to wipe their own ass.

I have gotten to the point where I want to give up, but the need for cash so I can get my monthly massages and add to my makeup collection stays in my head.  I have resorted to applying to be a courier for a laboratory when I should be the one in the lab running specimens.  My knowledge base is to expansive for most companies to grasp I guess.

Please Dear God just let the perfect position fall in to my lap.  I know you wouldn't have made this experience this difficult and taxing on my emotions if there wasn't something greater out there for me.

~The Bachelorette~ 6/3/13 - The First Dates

This weeks Bachelorette was nothing much to be desired.  It lacked intrigue and basically couldn't really keep my attention.  I didn't miss a second of it though, but only so I could write to you all about how lame this week was.  I even recorded it (but only so my parents who were out of town could watch it...who also thought this week was as lame as unseasoned chicken).

Let's just jump into it...MERRP!!

The first one-on-one date was with Brooks.  Their first stop (because it wouldn't be a Bachelor(ette) show without multiple stops in one date) was at Winnie Couture Bridal Fashion.  The two dressed up in different tuxedos and bridal gowns respectively and left the store wearing a traditional black tux and bridal gown.  Next stop was to a cupcake street truck to do a "cake tasting".  They then went to the Hollywood sign where they shared their first kiss.  Nothing to steamy with that...would have been nice to have a steamy kiss while overlooking Los Angeles, but whatever.  Also while I was watching this scene I was reminded of another Bachelor moment being at the Hollywood sign...can't ABC think of anything else than this setting??? Moving on.  Brooks and Des finished their date by driving into the "ghetto" of LA and moving "Road Closed" signs (obviously set up by ABC) to end up upon a table set up for their dinner on a bridge that looks back on the city.  They had a private concert and danced.  Needless to say Brooks got the rose and is still with us. --OHHHH  one more things I want to mention...when they pulled away from the house in the beginning of the date Michael G had made a comment about the Bentley being "baby blue"...he is a true guy to not know that it is "robins egg blue"...geesh..LOL

The first group date...all I have to say about this one...HORRIBLE CHOICE.  I did not enjoy it one bit.  Very annoying.  Ugh..I wish I had never seen this.  On this group date was Dan, Juan Pablo, Zack K, Will, Brian, Drew, Mikey T, Michael G, Brandon, Ben, Kasey, James, Zak W, and I think one other guy but can't recall who, but does it matter?  Not to me.  So the group date note Des sent to the guys said "Who is here for the right reason?", which led the date to make a music video called "The Right Reasons" featuring Soulja Boi, which in my opinion was the highlight seeing someone other that the bad hair and makeup Des and the cry baby men.  Des mentioned as this date was starting that she "never had to juggle 14 men in my life..."  Uhh no one really has unless you are a prostitute that does more than one man at a time.  I digress.  The whole shooting of the music video was a total mess.  The men were all sabotaging each other in some way by distraction and poking fun.  If they were smart they would have supported one another to show Des that they are mature and have a sense of caring about them...but apparently they were all raised by wolves.  After the video shoot was done, they had a cocktail time (like usual group dates), and Zak W. gave Des an antique journal that was inscribed by the original owners.  He wanted to show her that he was just a jokster by giving her something serious.  HA.  During this group date Ben seemed to be ABC focus for being the jackass guy that everyone can't stand.  Why is it that in every season there has to be one.  Can't the cast just be normal people with normal egos???  A handful of the guys can't stand him and say that it is his attitude and he just rubs them wrong.  What is happening in the house when cameras are rolling for him to rub guys wrong???  {My mind goes there sometimes}  When Ben was talking to Des he, of course, used his son to win her over.  {LEAVE CHILDREN OUT OF IT!}.  He then kisses her and the sound was atrocious!!!  Also during this date Mikey T pulls Ben aside to discuss Ben's swooping in on other guys time with Des.  Ben does not listen.  Ben got the rose...*BARF*

The second one-on-one date was with Bryden.  It was a "Road Trip".  The two got road snacks, Bryden paid (why didn't they just walk out cause ABC got the tab anyway?) and headed to the beach where the flew a kite and Des even wrote B+D with a heart around it in the sand.  Their next location was at an orange orchard where they picked ONE orange (on film anyway) and sat and had a snack type picnic.  Des offered Bryden Brie cheese and he said he "didn't know what that is."  So adorable.  For the end of their date they headed off to the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa to have dinner and discus Bryden's car accident and how that lead him to the military (he also said that he always wanted to join the military).  The ended up in the jacuzzi where Bryden was so adorable saying in many different ways how the date was so awesome and you could tell he wanted to kiss her.  Des said "just kiss me already".  She also said in her interview that "this is the best road trip I've ever had."  He also got the rose.

FINALLY - The Rose Ceremony -
Brian looks like a slick backed weasel.  He creeps me out.  I have a theory about him and Ben, but I'll address that at the end.  Ben showed his swooping skills again, on Michael G.  This really pissed me out because Michael G. was sharing that he is diabetic with Des and that is something important that she should know and Ben ruined it.  I dislike you Ben!  After Ben stole Des away they went off somewhere away from the guys, Ben called it "Hide and Seek" (such a immature pecker wood).  He tells Des that they have a secret (which will reoccur next week, according to the preview), that the have kissed and Ben is delusional in the fact that Des hasn't kissed anyone else.  Whatever!  The guys confront Ben as a group about his swooping in...again he doesn't listen, doesn't care. After confronting Ben Zak W. brought up that Ben had said previously that he has a bar and how other bachelors have come on the show with one bar and end up with five. THANK GOD THIS EPISODE IS DONE!!!

The guys we said goodbye to this week:
Will - thinks he put himself too far in the friend zone
Robert - said that going home was a nightmare
Nick M - felt pretty rejected

OKAY - on to my theory - The previews to this season have showed a woman showing up saying she is one of the guys' girlfriend.  (This will be happening next week).  It is either Ben who had his son with a "good friend" and that the both of them wanted a child and decided to have one together but not be together.  Um okay.  Or the girlfriend belongs to Brian.  When he was talking to Des during the rose ceremony he told her that his last relationship ended just two months prior to him coming on to the show.  These two men are skeeze balls if you ask me.  Either way.

So all in all this episode was just a big disappointment.  The guys are all drama and tears.  Telling their sob stories to get sympathy and hopefully a rose.  They all just need to pull their balls out of their back pockets and man up.  And I have to say Des has some bad hair days...like everyday.  And makeup that is less than desirable.

From the previews next week - some of the guys get in a fight and one goes to the ER via ambulance.  The "girlfriend" shows up, and of course guys go home and cry.

My prediction for the last man standing has change to either Bryden or God forbid Ben.

Go check out the remaining guys' bios and watch full episodes at http://beta.abc.go.com/shows/the-bachelorette

Sitting at work

So here I sit at work waiting for the phone to ring, a client to come in, or just something magical to happen. I want to apologize for not stopping by and posting little things last week. The days just escaped me and by the time I realized the week was over it was too late to post updates on getting ready to move. This week I'm working everyday but Thursday, so I'm getting in some cash before the move. I am definitely going to miss this place, my coworkers are awesome and I love most of our clientele and patients. As far as getting ready to move, my mom and I still have to get art work off of the walls and dust them off (our house is super dusty all the time no matter how often we dust) and then get our personal items packed up to go on the trailer that we are pulling behind us. As for packing all of our other stuff, we are letting the movers do that. Can't wait to get to where we are going so life can move on, but I will take everything I have learned from living in Tampa, good and bad, as lessons learned. Hope everyone is having a great Monday!!! XOXO MEE PS - due to my working all week and moving next week, reviews/tutorials on any makeup is being postponed until I am settled in Texas. LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Getting Ready to Move

So this week seems in my brain to be hectic. My mom and I have so much to do before movers come and before we can actually move. We aren't leaving until the 18th or 19th but I'm working all next week and won't have time to get things in order. Because we have so much to do we have decided to take our time and ultimately procrastinate. Ugghhh..so much on my mind of what I need to do. You would think with all the moving that myself and my family has done over the years it should be easy, but it's not. Every time you move you seem to accumulate more and more junk that can't seem to be parted with. Fortunately I am already planning on getting rid of a lot. Things that I don't use, don't wear, etc. I wish I just knew where to start. HAHA. I'm going to try to take some time out every day to post you guys on what is going on in the moving process, but as we all know, I like to procrastinate, dream big and then sleep instead of doing what I am supposed to do. Well, off to at least start on one room... Take care!!! XOXO MEE P.S. I won't be doing a January Favorites, simply because I didn't really have any true favorites. I AM going to TRY to get a review on the new Urban Decay Oz palettes, but with all the moving that may have to wait. I did use the Theodora palette yesterday and I am in LOVE!!!

Post Surgery Update

I've made it two weeks post operation and I'm doing well.  I am still having pains around my incisions but that is to be expected.  Hopefully soon I will be feeling energized enough to get some makeup looks on here and start some fashion ones as well.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Earth Day on Sunday and please remember all those lives lost 13 years ago today at Columbine High School, a sad day in history that hit home for me and so many of my close friends.

Take Care!!!

March Favorites

Two days into April and I am now getting around to doing my March favorites.  Eventually I will have my own YouTube channel and you will get to see me and my favorite products in "person", but for now this is it.  This past month I haven't really used many things, but I do have some that I absolutely adore!  For my hair I have really come to like the WEN hair care system in Sweet Almond and Mint.  It's a little strange being that it doesn't lather and feels just like conditioner, but my hair feels great and smells even better.  I only use it once a week, but I can tell a difference.  Hair feels so healthy.  Another shower product is the Schick Hydro razor.  I absolutely am in love with this razor.  Never have I had such smooth legs (well maybe when I was a baby), but this razor having 5 blades and works so well.  Highly recommend.  Mentioned in my latest haul was the Mabelline Baby Lips, I love they way they make my lips feel and the Quenched (only one I have used on a regular basis) is so nice and moisturizing.  The Nivea Creame is also so nice.  I used it at work this past Saturday and if anyone knows how many time a Veterinary Nurse washes their hands you can imagine how dry they must get.  I would put it on after washing my hand and they never felt softer.  Has a very pleasant scent as well, very clean.  As far as makeup, I love the Stila Ladies Who Lunch eye shadows.  They blend so easily and look great with any look.  I seem to have used them a lot this month.  Lastly I think I saw these in one of DulceCandy87's  videos, but I have a new found love for eye drops.  Rohto has drops that help get the red out, but also lubricate and help with stressed/strained eyes.  I got this particular type because my eyes seem to always be red from my allergies, but also the get so strained from being on the computer doing homework and reading my textbooks.  They do burn upon application, but it goes away quickly and after that is over my eyes feel so refreshed!

Hope you guys and gals enjoyed my March Favorites.  In case I don't post another blog before my surgery, hope you guys and gals have a wonderful Easter and I'll try to keep you updated on how I'm doing post-op and maybe get some looks up.

Take Care!
XOXO

Ulta and Bath&Body Works Haul

A week after purchasing/receiving I'm finally getting around to making a haul for these awesome products!  For the first time I did not purchase makeup from Ulta.  Weird I know, but it had to be done.  SO...let's start this haul!

From Ulta, I got a new Caboodle in pink with black lace over.  It's a little bigger than the clear one I purchased a few weeks ago, but open and works just like the clear one.  Two body butter jars from The Body Shop in Coconut and Strawberry.  The Coconut takes me to the spring break of 2004 when my family got a house in Marathon, FL and my brother Bryan lifted me up into a palm tree to try and retrieve a coconut (we are crazy kids) and the Strawberry is delicious.  I first heard about the Strawberry one from one of my fav YouTube Guru's MakeupByTiffanyD about a year ago so I finally decided to get it.  Next two Maybelline Baby Lips chapsticks in Quenched (a little lemon-y flavor) and in Cherry Me (yummy cherry :) )  Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm in Natural Mint and Shea Butter (so moisturizing and makes lips feel fresh).  Nivea Creme in travel tin (I got three of these.  I think they were only $0.99 or $1.99) they are so tiny and compact that they will fit perfectly in a clutch or pocket for on the go. Lastly Nicole by O.P.I. Kardashian  Collection in Khloe had a Little Lam-Lam, will definitely be doing my nails in this after my surgery.  I also got nail polish remover, Basically U brand 100% acetone, I have found this to be the best remover.

Bath&Body Works - I'm not a regular Bath&Body Works purchaser, but since I bought candles this past fall and winter I have fallen back in love with shopping there. (I just hope they don't discontinue my favorite scents like they have in the past).  First I got five travel size Anti-Bacterial hand sanitizers in Warm Vanilla Sugar, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Sweet Pea, Caribbean Escape and Island Nectar.  Also to make more travel friendly splurged on two of the holders for them (they both have glitter which makes me oh so happy).  For Candles I got the brushed nickle holder that has a base to it so it doesn't sit flat on my dresser, Coco Lobo, Coconut Water, and Tiki Beach candles.  I'm a very beachy/coconut scent person.  *Not pictured is an essential home oil in Warm Vanilla Sugar, travel lotions in Warm Vanilla Sugar and Sweet Pea, and  body spray in Sweet Pea.

Welp, that's all for this haul.  If you have any questions about how I like these products or anything feel free to comment and I'll try to answer quickly.  I'm not going to reviews on these because honestly I don't have that much time coming up with my surgery that is happening on Friday, but like I said if you have questions ask!

Hope you enjoyed!  Take Care!

Slacking a little

So I've been slacking a little on getting things posted and done for my blog.  SORRY!  This week and the next few months coming up are going to be hard for me to get things posted on here because I am having back surgery.  But I will try my best to get some stuff up here at least once a week.  I will have a March favorites posted before my surgery on Friday.  I'm going to post a link to a video that one of the Guru's I follow on YouTube posted the other day that I think has some cool things mentioned.  Hope everyone had a fool-less April fools day and have a great week!

Take care!
